# Altegio MCP servers for AI assistants and agents

Connect Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor or another MCP client to Altegio through the
Model Context Protocol (MCP). The full connection reference, including sign-in,
token lifetimes and troubleshooting, is at
[mcp.alteg.io/docs/connect-mcp](https://mcp.alteg.io/docs/connect-mcp).

## Servers

| MCP server | Address | What the assistant can do | Changes data |
|  --- | --- | --- | --- |
| Altegio Pro MCP | `https://mcp.alteg.io/pro` | Work with appointments, Team Members, services, work schedules, clients and Location settings; key metrics; guided setup of a new Location | Yes |
| Altegio Pro MCP (read-only) | `https://mcp.alteg.io/pro/readonly` | Read the same data, including client contacts, and the full set of analytics (Pro has key metrics only) | No |
| Altegio Knowledge MCP | `https://mcp.alteg.io/knowledge` | Search the Altegio help center and answer with links to articles; no access to your account data | No |
| [Altegio Integrations Hub MCP](/en/developers/integrations-hub-mcp) | `https://mcp.alteg.io/integrations-hub` | Create, configure, test and submit your own Marketplace applications | Yes: your developer account and applications, their test installations, Location webhook settings, notification channels and SMS sender names, and supported payment actions; write tools plan before they apply |
| Altegio API docs MCP | `https://developer.alteg.io/mcp` | Search this developer portal: APIs, endpoints and schemas | No |

Use an address exactly as listed in the table. For the `mcp.alteg.io` servers
the longer form with `/mcp` at the end (for example
`https://mcp.alteg.io/pro/mcp`) also works. Pages of the Altegio web app
(`https://app.alteg.io/...`), the `mcp.alteg.io/connect/...` guides and this
page are not MCP servers, and a client pointed at them will fail to connect.
Addresses under `https://mcp.alteg.io/public/...` were retired on September 28,
2026 and answer `410`.

## How to connect

1. Add the server address to your AI app as a remote MCP server (in some apps
it is called a connector or a custom app). In ChatGPT, turn on Developer
mode first; the [connection reference](https://mcp.alteg.io/docs/connect-mcp)
lists the plans that support it.
2. When the app asks, sign in with your Altegio email and password.
3. Ask the assistant something about your business, for example "Show
tomorrow's appointments".

Step-by-step instructions for each app, with buttons that open Claude, Cursor
and VS Code with the address filled in:

- [Connect Altegio Pro MCP](https://mcp.alteg.io/connect/pro)
- [Connect Altegio Knowledge MCP](https://mcp.alteg.io/connect/knowledge)
- [Connect Altegio Integrations Hub MCP](https://mcp.alteg.io/connect/integrations-hub)

For command-line clients:

```bash
claude mcp add --transport http altegio-pro https://mcp.alteg.io/pro
```

```bash
codex mcp add altegio-pro --url https://mcp.alteg.io/pro
```

```bash
gemini mcp add --transport http altegio-pro https://mcp.alteg.io/pro
```

Then sign in: `/mcp` in Claude Code, `codex mcp login altegio-pro` in Codex,
`/mcp auth altegio-pro` in Gemini CLI. For an assistant that only reads data or
runs unattended, use `https://mcp.alteg.io/pro/readonly` instead.

## Access and data

- Pro, Pro read-only and Integrations Hub work with the rights of the Altegio
account you sign in with, in every Location that account can open. They
cannot do more than you can in Altegio.
- The read-only server cannot change data, but it reads the same data,
including client phone numbers and emails.
- Knowledge MCP has no access to your account, Locations, clients or revenue.
- To stop using a server, remove it in your AI app's connector settings.
Altegio does not yet have a screen to end MCP sign-ins.

## For developers and agents

- **Sign-in.** The sign-in server at `mcp.alteg.io` (Pro, Pro read-only,
Knowledge and Integrations Hub) supports Dynamic Client Registration, so a
client needs no pre-registered ID or secret. Token lifetimes are listed in
the [connection reference](https://mcp.alteg.io/docs/connect-mcp).
- **Headless access.** An agent or API client that sends a static bearer token
can present your own Altegio User Token instead of signing in through the
browser. Get it as described in
[Option B: Authorize your own Business User](/en/get-api-key#option-b-authorize-your-own-business-user)
(this needs a Partner Token from a Developer Account) and send it in one of
these headers:

```text
Authorization: Bearer USER_TOKEN
X-Altegio-User-Token: USER_TOKEN
```
Pro and Integrations Hub act as that user; Knowledge only checks that the
token is valid. A User Token does not expire when you remove the connector:
treat it like a password and change your Altegio password to invalidate it.
Point unattended agents at the read-only server, but the token itself still
grants full access.
- **Altegio.me MCP** (`https://mcp.alteg.io/me`) is for Altegio partners: it
finds a bookable business and opens its booking widget with a free slot
already selected. It does not use the sign-in above; send your Partner Token
(see [How to Get API Keys](/en/get-api-key)) as `Authorization: Bearer` or in
the `X-Altegio-Partner-Token` header.
- **Your own integration.** To call the Altegio REST API from your own code,
start with [How to Get API Keys](/en/get-api-key) or the
[Marketplace App Quickstart](/en/developers/marketplace-quickstart).
